VISUAL ENGINNEER

Advantages for:

    The Financial Manager

  1. Visual Engineer is value for money simply because it is competitively priced when compared to other systems.
  2. There is no annual fee and the licence is 'per site' not per computer as other programs tend to be and the support is local.
  3. You can view budget and expenditures at any time.
  4. Capital investment decisions are easier to make since you have an actual record of how much the machine/department has cost.
  5. Easy to see running costs.
  6. Costs can be broken down by department, machine, room etc.

    The Factory Manager
  1. It is simple to use, anyone with a login can enter in a work order.
  2. You can plan to fix machinery when it suits you not when it breaks down.
  3. Saves product contamination since the problem is fixed before the machine breaks.
  4. Labour is used more effectively because you plan it.
  5. Allows you to allocate costs easier by tracking the cost of maintenance
  6. Great for food safety issues.
  7. You can enter in the jobs yourself and electronically disperse them to the people instead of running around with paperwork.
  8. Good for OSH as it shows the work that has been done on the machine. By being able to add safely notes or link them to machines you are seen as being proactive by OSH.
  9. You can keep track of which jobs are being done and who is doing them.
  10. Problems can be pinpointed.

The Quality Assurance Manager

  1. Allows entry of quality standards or specifications (ie MAF, IANZ) along side the job to ensure that they are followed and met.
  2. The initiator of the job determines urgency, you can determine how quickly a job is done.
  3. Product contamination is easier to find - you just search for all the jobs performed in that room and see where the contamination most likely came from.
  4. Faults that could easily cause contamination can be easily spotted and proactively managed with preventative action.
  5. A job has the option of being cleared before it can be totally put into work history.
  6. Show the details about the job, what type of work was carried out and by whom. Can also write who cleaned the area etc.
  7. Photo navigation means that you do not have to go into the factory to have a look at the room when required. E.g. when writing a HACCP Plan or doing risk management.
  8. By having accurate work history you can design check sheets to encompass trends etc.
